From tuesday to thursday I spent the days in Italy. It took Pirmin and me 7 1/2 hours to get there. We ended up in a beautiful small village -it looked like a mix of Japan and Rumania. Japan because of the snow and Rumania because of its creepiness.
We met Christoph Weber and Marco Smolla in the hotel room. We decided to wake up early to catch the first lift. Peppe the boss had other plans- he decided that the lift stay closed. Why? Nobody really knows…
We had a lot of snow, sadly it was too warm. So the snow felt down and was already heavy.
At the second day we took some nice runs under the lift and did a double rail. After the rail Marco and Christoph had the idea to build a “landing hole”- I have never seen somebody shoveling a hole in the landing?!
Good times even the snow wasn’t good.
Free W-lan is here to be used (:
I think this little girl watched the whole day Tv. Looks like she’s pretty stoked.
We finally arrived in the snowy village Niseko. Was not too easy to get there because photodawg Lorenz Richard aka “Mr. Cheeesiest Smile Around The Globe” had some problems with the check in. For the japanese securitys Lorenz his flash looks like a bomb, so he was not allowed to take it with the plane. But he managed it somehow that they send it tomorow with the post.
I was sooo impressed when I got out of the plane. There was like 3 meters snow in the valley- never saw so much snow! Tomorrow we will check out the mountain, I´m excited how much snow is up there!
Last week the swedish Nitro guys arived in town. Motivated and really nice dudes! Most of the time we spent on the mountain to build kickers and other nice spots. I`m stoked that photographer Lolli is here aswell! His pics are amazing! Today we split up the crews- Magnus, Nils and me went on the mountain for another kicker. The other guys went to the “Downrail of death”- it`s a really long double-kinked rail in Lichtenstein.
We had a really great day and hope its going on like this!
Last week I bought a hightech machine called “Pow Finder 3000″- so stoked, this piece of metal shows me exactly where the powder is!! Nooot… Unfortunately it`s not on the market but I keep working on it.
On wednesday our friend Gus Stelon from Australia arrived in Schruns, super nice guy and our neighbor for the next month. Thankfully I have a prototype of the magic machine in my head and we were already really productive. Hope it`s going on!
